St. Louis Park Man Arrested for Allegedly Robbing a Drug Dealer in Hopkins

Joemel Devon Robinson, 20, has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and one count of simple robbery.

A St. Louis Park man is in jail for allegedly early Thursday morning in Hopkins, said Hopkins Police Sgt. Michael Glassberg.

Joemel Devon Robinson, 20, was booked in Hennepin County jail Friday afternoon and charged with one count of aggravated robbery and one count of simple robbery, both felonies.

Robinson is accused of using a gun to rob a man he met at a parking lot in the 300 block of 17th Avenue to buy marijuana, Glassberg said. The victim, who Glassberg declined to name, told police that Robinson pulled a gun shortly after the two men met for a drug deal.
