Officers Arrest Blake Road Bow and Arrow Suspect

Kirk Martin Rader, 25, is being held in the Hennepin County jail on $10,000 bond.

Police on Monday arrested the Edina man accused of firing a bow and arrow at the , Sgt. Michael Glassberg said.

Kirk Martin Rader, 25, is being held in the Hennepin County jail on $10,000 bond.

Officers arrested him in Edina on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon on school property, a felony with a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. He’s also been charged with fourth-degree criminal damage to property, a misdemeanor with a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Rader is accused of shooting an arrow at the school’s front door. Officers found a broken piece of an arrowhead wedged inside the front door and a “wrench-like tool” wedged between the doorframes. Rader’s name was written in marker on the tool.

His first court date has not yet been set.
