Hopkins Police Stop Stolen Prior Lake Car

Two men are in jail after police stopped the vehicle without incident Tuesday afternoon at Highway 7 and Highway 169.

Two people are in custody after Hopkins police stopped a stolen car Tuesday afternoon near Highway 7 and Highway 169.

At about 4 p.m., an officer recognized a car that had been reported stolen from Prior Lake, Police Sgt. Michael Glassberg said.

The driver responded to the officer’s signals and stopped the vehicle without incident.

Two people were taken to Hennepin County jail, Glassberg said. Their identities and other details were not immediately available.

Glassberg expects the department to submit a report for receiving stolen property.
