Hopkins Institutes Burn Ban

The ban will be in effect until the city receives more precipitation.

The City of Hopkins has instituted a burning ban due to high winds and dry conditions, Fire Chief Dale Specken announced Friday.

The ban includes campfires, recreational fires and fires in fire pits or outdoor fireplaces.

It will be in effect until the city receives “significant precipitation,” he said.
