Burglar Caught By Hopkins Police

The man was responsible for at least two home robberies.

Tuesday night, Hopkins Police caught a burglar responsible for break-ins on Sunday and Tuesday night.

Ture Lee Hogan was arrested, just shy of his 22nd birthday, after he ran from an attempted burglary on the 800 block of Smetana Road. He was charged with two counts of First Degree Burglary on Thursday, and is currently being held in the Hennepin County Jail.

According to the police report, Hogan confessed to another robery on the 700 block of 9th Avenue South on Tuesday night. The report says the victim was awakened in the early morning hours by the light of a cellphone being used as a flashlight. She screamed at the intruder, who made off with her purse and a jar of change. In Tuesday night's burglary, the victim reported hearing her cat growl in the living room and checking to see what was wrong, found a stranger standing there. The stranger fled, and was caught by police after a brief foot chase.
