Blotter: Vulnerable Adults and CD Confusion

Monday, May 28

  • 2:19 a.m. — Police went to following a report of an unspecified burglary.
  • 9:15 a.m. — A man told police someone stole CDs, sold them at a pawnshop and then left the pawn slip in his Cambridge Street apartment to taunt him. Upon investigation, police learned that there was a medication issue. The man could not be held.
  • 1:29 p.m. — Someone smashed a back window on the 600 block of Sixth Avenue South. Nothing was taken, but there was $300 worth of damage.
  • 2:04 p.m. — Police learned that a wife damaged a Jeep Grand Cherokee and let air out of the tires.

Tuesday, May 29

  • 12:17 p.m. — A caller told police that a man who had been looking in vehicles was sitting on the stairs on the north side of .
  • 1:30 p.m. — An student told police that something had been stolen out of a book bag.
  • 3:17 p.m. — A person was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center following a disturbance on the 300 block of Fifth Avenue North.
  • 4:16 p.m. — A juvenile was taken to the hospital following a disturbance at .

  • 8:01 a.m. — Officers learned that items were stolen from a parking lot on the 1400 block of Seventh Street South.  
  • 8:38 p.m. — A Feltl Court group home told police that a vulnerable adult left the home and was near the intersection of Excelsior Boulevard and Shady Oak Road. The resident agreed to return.
