Blotter: Drive-Through Pranks and Drooping Pants

Monday, Sept. 26

  • 9:13 a.m. — A resident told police that someone stole an $800 CAD converter from a vehicle while it was parked outside a Jackson Avenue North business.
  • 7:39 p.m. — A man told police he was assaulted in an apartment at an unspecified location. He said someone punched him and pushed him when he stopped by the apartment. The suspect was gone when officers arrived.
  • 10:16 p.m. — Officers received a report of very loud noise at a Hopkins Park Plaza unit. They issued a nuisance report.

Tuesday, Sept. 27

  • 3:49 p.m. — A resident reported receiving a message that said, “I’m going to remind you again that it’s rough and you’ll see how rough it can be.” No further details were available.
  • 4:27 p.m. — A 17th Avenue North resident said someone had entered their home and broken several items.

  • 11:35 a.m. — Police received a report that someone stole rubber rings protecting mirrors on two buses that were parked at Westside Village. The loss is estimated at $470.

Thursday, Sept. 29

  • 8:53 a.m. — Police contacted a drunk man near . The man was taken to social services.
  • 1:04 p.m. — Officers responded to an unspecified prescription drug offense, nuisance property and trespass violation at Hopkins Park Plaza.
  • 1:49 p.m. — A woman told police she was assaulted by her brother the day before. When she was seen by doctors Sept. 29, they told her to make a report.
  • 11:50 p.m. —  told police that people were going through the drive through, ordering food and then backing up. They did it twice, and management couldn’t tell them to leave because they couldn’t leave the restaurant.

  • 9:31 a.m. — Police received a report of a man staggering in after his pants fell down. The man was gone when officers arrived.
