Monday, August 1

12:17 a.m. — A woman told police that her ex-boyfriend was assaulting her boyfriend on the zero block of Fifth Avenue south.

7:25 a.m. — Someone stole a $300 stereo from a vehicle while it was parked on the 300 block of Seventh Avenue North.

8:52 a.m. — A employee asked police to remove a man who was in the office and upset that management had towed his vehicle. The man left while the woman was still on the phone with police.

4:30 p.m. — A resident reported that someone stole a locked bike from an underground garage stall.

7:27 p.m. — A Sixth Avenue resident told police that someone damaged lights around his home for the second time. He asked officers for an extra patrol in the area around bar closing times.

9:39 p.m. — A man reported that people he met at the Wild Boar assaulted him and took the contents of his wallet.

 

Tuesday, August 2

5:03 p.m. — A Second Street Northeast Resident told police that someone stole a utility trailer and electronic equipment.

 

Wednesday, August 3

8:47 a.m. — Someone stole a black iPod the night before from an unlocked car parked on the 300 block of Farmdale Road West.

10:01 a.m. — Someone cut wires on cranes at .

 

Thursday, August 4

10:04 p.m. — An 11th Avenue woman told police that she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend and that he’d taken her purse. Police took the man in custody.

 

Friday, August 5

1:45 p.m. — A Seventh Street resident reported finding a laptop and $2,500 missing after getting out of jail.

5:20 p.m. — Police received a report that someone who lost keys in the Mainstreet Bar and Grill discovered the car missing. The car is a tan 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe.

9:56 p.m. — Someone knocked over a streetlight at the intersection of Parkside Boulevard and Kassie Court.

 

Saturday, August 6

4:09 p.m. — Police received a report of a disturbance on the 1100 block of Second Street Northeast. When they arrived, they found a man with a handgun. The man did not appear to be a danger to himself, but police confiscated the handgun for safekeeping.

4:18 p.m. — Police learned of a fight near the .

9:54 p.m. — A resident told police that a known person stole $500 in cash.

10:01 p.m. — A woman told police that someone she knows took her white 1992 Buick Regal and cell phone. The woman initially said she did not want to report the vehicle missing because the person would not repay her money she is owed. However, the woman later found that her computer was missing and asked the officer to return.

 

Sunday, August 7

12:52 a.m. — Police received a report of a theft at .

2:01 a.m. — A resident reported a burglary on the 300 block of Ninth Avenue North.

11:59 p.m. — A man was reported to be in the area of Hopkins Tavern on Main, pounding on the door and refusing to leave. He was taken to detox.
