Monday, March 19

  • 12:29 p.m. — Police responded to an unspecified assault at the .

Tuesday, March 20

  • 8:08 a.m. — A resident told police about suspicious activities around a Sixth Avenue North home. The day before the dog was out of the kennel and the door unlocked when the person returned home. On March 20, the entry to the attic was open. Officers checked and found everything all clear. 
  • 8:40 p.m. — A caller reported that people were running around a vehicle near . Officers found that the people were practicing driving. 
  • 10:41 p.m. — A resident told police that an older man on a bicycle tipped over a portable toilet on the 2000 block of Fourth Street North. Officers were unable to find the man.

Wednesday, March 21

  • 5:46 p.m. — Police learned that someone broke into a garage at an Ashley Road home. Nothing was taken and no damage occurred. The break-in happened at 2 a.m.
  • 8:06 p.m. — A woman told officers a man was refusing to leave an Eighth Avenue South home, saying he would only leave if she called police. Officers took the man home and dropped him off with a sober person.
  • 9:39 p.m. — Police received a report that someone was swinging on a street sign near the . The sign was leaning toward the restaurant. The man went back inside the restaurant but left. Officers searched Mainstreet for him. 

Thursday, March 22

  • 4:05 p.m. — A woman reported that $900 went missing from her purse while she was shopping at . The woman said she discovered the money was missing she went to check out. She’d seen another woman near her cart but did not see her take anything.

Friday, March 23

  • 4:54 p.m. — Residents reported that a group of juvenile girls was stopping traffic by cheering and dancing in the roadway on the 600 block of North Van Buren Trail. Officers were unable to find the girls.

Saturday, March 24

  • 2:40 a.m. — A caller told police that two men were laying in the street near the intersection of 13th Avenue North and Third Street North. They were not in the area when officers checked.
  • 8:35 a.m. —  reported that someone tried to break into the building. There were pry marks on the door. Over the next hour and 20 minutes, neighboring businesses , and all reported pry marks on their doors as well.

Sunday, March 25

  • 8:14 a.m. — Police responded to an unspecified burglary at a 12th Avenue North Home.
  • 8:34 p.m. — A Minnetonka woman told police someone stole her purse while she was at . The woman arrived home before she noticed her purse was missing. By that time, her credit card had been used at an Exxon and a St. Louis Park Redbox.
