Blotter: Buried Treasure and 'Taking Her Clothes Off'

Friday, June 8

  • 1:22 a.m. — Police went to The Blake School following a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. They encountered a man who was trying to find “treasure” by using a metal detector in the playground. Officers talked to the man.
  • 7:45 a.m. — Someone smashed the windows of a Honday Odyssey van while it was parked on the 200 block of Seventh Avenue North. 
  • 2:16 p.m. — Police received a report of a domestic assault at .
  • 2:52 p.m. — Someone stole an iPhone out of a vehicle parked at 10801 Excelsior.
  • 7:15 p.m. — An old, red bicycle was stolen from a Char-Lin apartment unit.

  • 4:23 p.m. — Two men tried to break into the ticket booth at the .
  • 7:34 p.m. — A man said he was assaulted Friday morning.

  • 5:35 p.m. — Seven men entered and tried to assault a customer inside. The men left in a white, four-door vehicle.
