Monday, July 2

  • 12:13 p.m. — Police got a call that a Westside Village resident was harassing a vulnerable adult.
  • 4:06 p.m. — Police intervened in an argument at 9084 Excelsior Blvd. that ensued when a woman complained about a haircut her son received. Officers mediated, and the store refunded the cost of the haircut.
  • 10:26 p.m. — Officers responded to an unspecified domestic assault at .

Tuesday, July 3

  • 12:28 a.m. — The Blake Road Walgreens reported that someone tried to return items taken from another store. The man was suspected of taking more items from inside the store. The man left in a silver SUV before officers arrived. 
  • 5:49 a.m. — Police responded to a report of an unspecified burglary on the 1500 block of Preston Lane.
  • 6:17 a.m. — Police learned about a burglary of a Maple Hill Road home in which someone entered the garage or house and stole a computer bag. The bag was found in after someone had gone through it.
  • 12:57 p.m. — An homeowner told police someone tried to break into the home overnight. The screen door was half open, but the sliding door was locked.
  • 2:47 p.m. — Police received a call that a suspicious man in a yellow shirt and driving a blue van was walking around a parking lot. The man turned out to be geocaching.
  • 3:54 p.m. — A man told police his 2007 Cadillac Escalade was not where he parked it and that he couldn’t find the keys. OnStar located the vehicle in Minnetonka.
  • 9:55 p.m. — A Westside Village woman told police a neighbor keyed her1997 Chevrolet Lumina, although she didn’t see anyone cause the damage.

  • 5:54 p.m. — Police investigated an unspecified theft at Sonoma Apartments.
  • 7:02 p.m. — Someone damaged the window of a vehicle parked on the 100 block of 12th Avenue North.
  • 10:17 p.m. — Police went to Westside Village in response to a report of a domestic assault.
  • 11:11 p.m. — An 11th Avenue South resident told police a drunk man was trying to get into the apartment by banging on the door. The drunk man was taken in for special care.

  • 5:51 a.m. — Police learned that someone broke a window of a vehicle parked on 18th Avenue North, causing $300 damage. It wasn’t known whether anything was missing.
  • 6:22 a.m. — Police learned of another vehicle whose window had been broken. Someone had gone through the vehicle, but there was nothing of value in the vehicle, which was parked on the 200 block of 18th Avenue North.
  • 6:39 a.m. — Someone broke a window on a vehicle parked on the 200 block of 18th Avenue North.
  • Someone broke a window on a vehicle parked on the 200 block of 18th Avenue North.
  • 6:49 a.m. — Someone broke a window on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of 18th Avenue North.
  • 7:01 a.m. — Police found another vehicle with a broken window, this one on 19th Avenue North. Officers were initially unable to make contact and left a card.
  • 8:09 a.m. — reported that someone stole $30.
  • 9:22 a.m. — Police learned about another vehicle with broken windows on 18th Avenue North. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
  • 11:50 a.m. — A caller told police that a man was making “threatening hand gestures” at . Officers talked to the man.
  • 3:32 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an unspecified assault on St. Albans Road.
  • 6:04 p.m. — A backpack with driver’s license and social security card was stolen from a vehicle at .
