Lisa Kay Litke, of Rosemount, died peacefully in her home June 13. She was 51 years old.

Litke was a native of Hopkins. As a 17-year-old she met a "quirky young man" named Thomas Litke at K-Mart. Four years later, the two were married. The couple just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year. Together the Litkes had five children, Aliesha, Rachael, Katie, Michael and Andrew.

Litke's family describes her as a creative soul, who was known for her thoughtful, hand-made cards and quick wit. She also had a life-long passion for learning. Before she became ill, she started a PhD in Psychology.
