Homework Hub opens Monday Sept. 12 at the Hopkins Library

It's year 4! Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? Not Hogwarts but it is year 4 for Homework Hub at the Hopkins Library.

It's not Hogwarts but it is Hopkins!   Monday September 12  will find Marsha Lyon returning as lead tutor for the fourth year of the Homework Hub Program at the Hopkins Library.  She works at this Hennepin County Library program, which offers free after-school homework help for students in kindergarten through grade 12 on a drop-in basis. She loves her job because she knows she is making a difference in the lives of Hopkins students. Marsha, along with many other volunteer tutors, mentor the students, model positive behaviors and help students set goals and assist them in starting their homework.

Adults interested in volunteer tutoring, apply online at http://www.hclib.org/pub/info/support/Volunteers.cfm

The program is available at the Hopkins Library on Sundays 1-4 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30-7:30 p.m. and will run from Sept. 12 through mid-Dec. Tutors will not be available the week of Education Minnesota (Oct. 17-23) and Thanksgiving (Nov. 21-27).
