Celebrate African Heritage with Kids programs at the Hopkins Library

Staying at home this summer? Looking for something free and different for the whole family? Celebrate African culture at the library!

TALES OF AFRICA 

for kids preschool to grade 5

Wednesday, June 22, 6-7 p.m.

Auntie Beverly is a local storyteller known for  her entertaining tales that show the rich and diverse cultual heritage of Africa. Stories from many countries will be told including Somalia. Bedtime stories for the whole family. if you like wear your pajamas too!

AFRICAN ADVENTURE

for kids entering kindergarten and up

Monday, June 27, 2-3:30 p.m.

Go on an African safari! Create art pieces inspired by many African countries. Masks, costumes, sculptures and 2-D art pieces wil be made in this fun program.
