The night after the Hopkins girls defeated Edina 27-5, the Hopkins boys completed the sweep, with the Varsity and JV teams both defeating Edina in season play on May 23.  The Varsity Team pulled off a 24-22 victory over #1 rated Edina, with senior Trace Bolstad making a winning 3-point penalty kick in the last minute of play.  Hopkins players scoring trys were Bolstad, Ricky Johnson, and Anthony Clifton.  Bolstad had a stand-out game, also converting extra points after each try.

The Hopkins Junior Varsity Team also bested Edina 20 to 15.  Scorers for Hopkins were JaMichael Ellis (2 trys), Ziele Mosley (1 try), and Alex Holden (1 penalty kick and 1 extra point kick).

The first play-off game for the Boys JV is June 8 at the National Sports Center in Blaine (opponent not yet decided).
