Community Update

Yes Tinker Bell, we do need to stop the cycle of bullying, however when the principal and superintendent refuse to listen to or even address multiple parent complaints, then it gets very difficult to stop the cycle. You see, the cycle of bullying starts and ends with the principal and when that person perpetuates the cycle of bullying, then you have an issue that goes beyond the parents.

Tinker Bell also forgets to acknowledge that she's an employee of district 270 and therefore is a paid patsy to post here...they are called trolls on the internet. IKE has been a terrific school for Tinker Bell because since she works there, her children are given special treatment and held above the rest of the student body. In other words, it's her children that bully the rest of the kids that her and her family feel are further down the rung.

Volunteering? The PTO really doesn't like nor want non-whites in the organization, so most of the parents are left out. How do I know this? I attended a 2013 PTO meeting and it was nothing more than white parents making disparaging comments about the "other kids". "Other Kids", "The troublemakers" and "the stupid special ed kids" were thrown around easily and without remorse or realization that they were offensive.

"I hope that those of you who are unhappy with an experience stop and think first before you spread untrue statements about the school" This is the attitude we parents are talking about, these are not "untrue statements", the statements below have happened to many of the kids and it's parents like yourself that brush the truth aside so that you can live in your little world where you don't have to deal with people who are less fortunate than yourself. I guess if it doesn't happen to you, it never happened or it's someone elses fault huh?
