Relay For Life Team Rally

The 2012 Relay for Life at Hopkins/Minnetonka is kicking off our season by looking for teams and volunteers to make our event a success!

The Team Rally is open to everyone who is interested in forming or joining a team.  Come and learn about why we Relay, how to fundraise, form and motivate teams and how you can join the fight against cancer.  There will be food, games, entertainment and door prizes!

The Team Rally for the 2012 Relay for Life will be on Saturday, March 3 2012 at 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Ridgedale YMCA.  This is an open event so drop by anytime and bring anyone who is interested in learning more. 

The planning committee for the Relay for Life at Hopkins/Minnetonka is also currently looking for excited volunteers to help make our event a great success.  We have many positions and committees to serve on with varying time commitments in areas like Team Recruitment/Development and Retention, Food/Hospitality, Luminaria, Sponsorships, Survivors, Entertainment, Ceremonies, Silent Auction, Logistics and Publicity. 

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 12 hours in length.  The Relay for Life at Hopkins/Minnetonka will be held on June 22-23, 2012.
