"Links and Libations" Golf Event

The Minnetonka Rotary is sponsoring a Charity Golf Outing, “Links & Libations” on Thursday, September 11th, 2014 at Glen Lake Golf Course located at 14350 County Road 62 in Minnetonka Minnesota, just west of the intersection of Hwy 494 and Hwy 62.

The Minnetonka Rotary determined that our event would include golf, but that is only part of the fun. Local Craft Beers and wines carefully chosen by our experts for taste testing. Providing an easy way for you to taste test Minnesota specialty beers in one location …. and a great sampling of wines from the most well know wine producers in the world as well. The event is a scramble with a shotgun start at 3:00pm. Check in starts at 2:00pm. The event includes nine holes of golf with prizes for putting and driving contest. There will also be a $10,000 prize for a hole in one. The 2014 Minnetonka Rotary Charity Golf Outing is a charity event that raises money for the Hopkins / Minnetonka communities. The Minnetonka Rotary believes in “Building Responsible Youth” and the money that this event raises goes back into the youth in our communities.

The golf is fun and the beer and wine tasting are delicious and includes a selection of local craft beers, brewed in the Minnetonka area, complimented by premier wineries for the complete experience. The beers that will be available include the following: Excelsior Brewing, Rock Bottom Brewery, Lucid Brewing, Freehouse Brewery, and LTD Brewing. Wines will be provided by Vincopia and includes wines from Argentina, France and Napa Valley. Food will be provided by Culvers and includes great burgers, fries and a delicious salad. A silent auction will be available that will include trips to Hawaii, Arizona, and the Bahamas as well as jewelry, various gift cards, and a huge cooler overflowing with assorted beers and likewise a basket overflowing with assorted wines. Additionally, there will be a raffle of a 42” Sony TV and a custom Restwell Mattress / Box Spring Combination.

The event unfolds like this....... On Thursday, September 11th, check in at 2:00pm, Golf from 3:00pm to 5:30pm, with Beer and Wine Tasting starting at 5:00pm, and Beverages, Food, Raffle and Silent Auction running until 8:00pm. Mark your calendars and come for the whole event, Golf, Beer/Wine and Auction, or come for Wine/Beer Tasting and the Auction. Come join us for some fellowship.
