The Hopkins Historical Society has selected the home this year to receive its Hopkins Area Historic
Homes award. Barb and Terry Swseeney will accept the award for their 107 year-old,
home located at 221 11th Avenue North. This home has been lovingly maintained throughout
the years and is a treasured addition to the Hopkins Historical Society Historic Homes register.
The ceremony will be held in the Raspberry Room of the Hopkins Activity Center,
October 26th at 2:30 pm, followed by a presentation by Hopkins Fire Chief Dale Specken on the
history of the Hopkins Fire Department. The Activity Center is located at the corner of 14th
Avenue North and 1st Street in Hopkins. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.
