VIDEO: Vietnamese Community Celebrates Tet at Hopkins High School

The holiday marks the start of the Vietnamese New Year.

Tet may be the most popular holiday in Vietnam, but the annual Vietnamese New Year’s celebration isn’t exactly common in Minnesota.

The holiday came to the west metro on Saturday, though, when the Vietnamese Community of Minnesota hosted its “2013 Vietnamese Tet New Year Festival—The Year of the Snake” at Hopkins High School.

The event—the largest annual Vietnamese community event Minnesota—included food, entertainment, fashion, children’s activities and dancing. Check out the festivities in the video above, courtesy of YouTube user vbeatzmn.
