The venue isan apt one for reflection. The plaza features Spirit Rock—nearly 10 tons of limestone split by a 500-pound beam from the South Tower that the City of New York gave to the Aamoth family. The rough, unfinished surface of the stone symbolizes the prematurely ended lives lost in the attacks.
