Do you have a competitive spirit? Do you want a fun and easy way to get in shape again this spring? Do you just want to connect with your neighbors? Then the four-week Step To It Challenge from April 23–May 20 is for you!

Show your pride, with friends at your side!

The challenge is a fun, lighted-hearted way to connect with family, friends, and neighbors and get moving again after a long winter. Twenty-three cities will compete to see which one has the most active residents. Awards, celebration events, and free Twins tickets will go to individuals who log the most steps. Make it a family event by having kids join in the fun too!

How does it work?

Participants record the number of steps they walk each week on the Step To It Web site (www.steptoit.org). You don’t even need a pedometer. You can use the convenient conversion chart on the Web site for logging time spent walking or doing other activities such as biking, skateboarding, Tai Chi, or even just mowing the lawn—all count toward overall steps. Best of all, it’s FREE!
