Join Hopkins Patch For National Night Out

We're hosting a National Night Out celebration Tuesday at Burnes Park.

National Night Out is all about meeting your neighbors, and we at Patch would like to get to know you a little better.

We’re hosting a National Night Out celebration Tuesday at . There will be free hot dogs, chips and pop. We’ll also be collecting non-perishable food and school supply donations for ICA Food Shelf and ResourceWest.

National Night Out is a neighborhood get-together in which residents head outside for a few hours to spend the evening with neighbors. The goal is to build community and promote crime- and drug-prevention awareness.

Last year, 52 groups got together in Hopkins. Together, they collected 2,170 pounds of food and school supplies.

Hopkins Patch will be at Burnes Park's west picnic shelter. The party starts at 6 p.m. and runs through 8:30 p.m.
