(GALLERY) Hopkins Children Have 'Gone Fishing'
The Laun E. Anderson Kids Fishing Contest took place Wednesday morning.
It was a happy morning Wednesday on the shores of Shady Oak Lake as children snagged fish during the Laun E. Anderson Kids Fishing Contest.
The contestants included both local residents and students from the nearby Bren Road Education Center, many of them out fishing for the first time.
The children didn't have to wait long for the fish to bite. Many kids were able to catch several fish—with all of the fish being thrown back into the lake.
