Workers Change Wells Fargo Sign

Workers were busy Friday putting up a shiny new Wells Fargo sign at the corner of 10th Avenue and First Street South.

The building has some big changes ahead. Hennepin County's Human Services and Public Health Department is setting up a one-stop-shopping center in the building in order to bring the full spectrum of services out to communities - particularly those with the greatest concentrations of people using those services.

This comes as Wells Fargo is shrinking its presence in the building. Where it once occupied 40,000 square feet, it is shrinking to 3,500 square feet this summer.

Hennepin County plans to move into the building in November or December. Local nonprofit ResourceWest should set up shop there in January.
