Mac's Liquor Changes Hands

The McCarvilles sold the business to Andover resident Patrick Borchardt.

The McCarvilles are selling after nine years running the Excelsior Road business.

Andover resident Patrick Borchardt bought the business from the Hopkins couple. Council granted him a liquor license at Tueday’s meeting.

The business will continue to operate as Mac’s Liquor.

Dave and Sue McCarville are 30-year residents of the community who are frequently seen participating in its events—including the and the .

Borchardt and the McCarvilles have agreed to a three-week transition plan. Council members wished him well and said they hope he can be as good of a neighbor as the McCarvilles have been.
