Tavern on France claims it has food just like your mother made, except better. With its wide sampling of dishes, it’s hard to argue with that.
The appetizer list has all the marks of a traditional American restaurant—including Buffalo wings, calamari, onion rings, and quesadillas. All of the appetizers are in the $8 to $11 range.
Burgers are another staple at Tavern on France. The house special is called the Tavern Style Burger and is served on grilled ciabatta with Gouda and bacon. All of the burgers sell for between $9 and $12.

Other aspects of the dinner menu include sandwiches, pizzas and pastas, most of which cost between $9 and $15.
Sunday brunch is also served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A wide variety of egg dishes and a pancake bar are just a few of the offerings at the brunch.

Tavern on France is located at 6740 France Ave. S. in Edina. It's open Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. It's open on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
