Bites Nearby: Joy's Pattaya Thai Restaurant Offers An Authentic Experience

Joy's immerses diners in the relaxation of Thailand's beach resorts.

The owner of Joy’s Pattaya Thai Restaurant received her culinary training while living and working in Thailand. After relocating to Minnesota, she opened a restaurant to bring Richfield residents a taste of the authentic rice and noodle dishes so prevalent in that country.

The beautiful restaurant—located at 7545 Lyndale Ave. S.—features dark wood fixtures, beach-themed art, candle-lit interior and soft Thai music to mentally transport patrons to the beach resorts of Thailand.

Joy’s serves lunch every weekday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.—featuring $9 entrees with over two dozen varieties to choose from. Happy hour begins after lunch ends and features tempura, gyoza, wontons, soups, spring rolls and drink specials from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
