Hopkins Man Makes it Big on International DJ Scene

Hopkins is proud of its small-town feel and Mainstreet charm, but Hopkins native Zak Khutoretsky has had no problem adapting to the bright lights.

The DJ, better known as DVS1, has been an icon on the Twin Cities club scene since the mid-1990s. Now he’s splitting his time between Minneapolis and Berlin—playing “grueling eight- to 12-hour sets at Berlin’s fabled Berghain club,” according to a Star Tribune article.
