Do you have an artistic bent? Do you like to write, perform or create? Then the Friends of the has a new group for you.
The organization is launching the Art Social Club of Hopkins, a group for art lovers to meet informally to network and socialize.
The first gathering will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 26 at the (1022 Mainstreet).

Attendees will be able to learn about arts events, perform during open-mic periods. The Wild Boar will also offer free appetizers and there will be drawings for prizes.
Art Social Club gatherings will continue through May, taking place on the fourth Monday of each month.
