Colin James Hay first came to prominence as the lead vocalist of the Australian band, Men at Work. He was also a member of Ringo Starr’s eighth and tenth All-Starr Bands.  He has appeared on network television shows as well as in cult movies, while maintaining an active career as the singer-songwriter with the recognizable raspy voice and sly humor.

Colin Hay is a master of the one-man show. Armed with an acoustic guitar, his rich memorable voice, and decades of road experience, Hay is an entertainer in the true sense of the word. His show takes his audience on a journey through song and stories and if the reviews from his recent tour are anything to go by, that journey will be an experience not to be missed.

“Hay is a master storyteller of the hilarious kind. Mostly talking about the early days, his family, and life in America, Hay had the crowd doubling over with laughter for what seemed like half the show. Yes, we paid to hear that pure, raspy voice sing those incredible songs, but this was like getting two shows in one.” Kevin TriebschThe Atlanta Music Examiner.

“Hay is funnier than most stand-up comedians, so he’ll split your sides and then drop a heartbreaking ditty on you.”  The Houston Chronicle

Colin Hay may be best known as the lead singer for Men At Work, the platinum selling Australian band that topped worldwide charts in the 80s with anthems like “Down Under,” “Overkill,” and “Who Can It Be Now?” Hay’s justifiably proud of his place in pop history, but since moving to Los Angeles in 1989, he’s made 11 solo albums and is confident that his most recent, Gathering Mercury is the best of the lot. This is expected to be a sold out show. (Concert may contain adult language.)

This is part of a concert series in partnership with Sue McLean & Associates featuring national and regional touring artists ranging from Marcia Ball, to Indigenous, to The Elders. There is a 6pm social hour with free appetizers and a cash bar, the music starts at 7 pm.
