ArtStreet is a collaboration between the city, Hopkins Business & Civic Association and the Friends of the Hopkins Center for the Arts.

The idea was sparked by a $10,000 Metropolitan Regional Arts Council grant. Hopkins solicited submissions from artists and judges pored through the entries before selecting five pieces for installation along Mainstreet.

The sculptures will remain in the downtown for a year. Organizers plan for the program to eventually expand to other parts of the community.
