Some Highway 169 Closures Could End Friday or Saturday

The closures that have plagued both directions of Highway 169 may soon be over, according to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Weather permitting, southbound Hwy 169 will re-open to two lanes late in the day, on Friday. Northbound Hwy 169 will re-open to two lanes late in the day Saturday.

The lanes and some ramps were closed as work crews labored to rehab bridges over 9-Mile Creek, over Excelsior Boulevard, and over 2nd Street NE/Minnetonka Mills Road.

Occasional lane and shoulder closures may happen over the next few weeks overnight or outside of rush hour as crews finish up work on the three bridges.
