Snow Blankets Hopkins

High winds and snow falling at about an inch an hour combined for dangerous conditions.

The National Weather Service predicts that Hopkins could get an additional six to 10 inches of snow Saturday in a storm that has already prompted widespread cancellations and dangerous driving conditions.

The city declared a snow emergency as winds whipped up snowfall blanketing the area at about an inch an hour.

The blizzard-like conditions prompted the cancellation of most Saturday events and the ACTs many students were scheduled to take.
