The amenities at this site include a playground, sports fields, BBQ grills and horseshoe pits. Each shelter sits at least 50 people and includes electric and water services. The largest of the parks available for rent in Hopkins, this 17-acre area includes several sports fields, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, and a dog area. Tables, restrooms, BBQ grills and 60-person shelter are available for rent. Plus, it's an easy walk from the downtown.

801 7th Avenue S, Hopkins
This 14.5 acre area includes an archery range, a variety of nature trails, a playground, sports fields and a dog area. The picnic shelter seats 60 people and includes water and electric hook-ups. BBQ grills, restrooms and tables are also on-site.
7th Street S at 6th Avenue S, Hopkins
This park includes a playground (naturally) as well as a basketball court next to a picnic shelter with tables. No need to reserve: first come, first serve.
900 Lake Street NE, Hopkins
Another park that doesn’t require a reservation, this park offers a playground, tennis courts, a softball field and restrooms on-site. The picnic shelter offers tables and an area for leashed dogs.
9451 Excelsior Blvd.
Not exactly a picnic spot, but the Depot is a popular stop for bikers and walkers on the nearby regional trail. This former train station specializes in locally roasted beans, espresso and iced drinks—with several types of food. It also has a dog-friendly patio.
