(PHOTOS) Hopkins Veteran Raises The Flag At Target Field

Sgt. 1st Class Noah Rogness now works in the Office of the Chief of Chaplains.

Hopkins native Sgt. 1st Class Noah Rogness was still in college when he was called up to go to Afghanistan in January 2002, shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks.

Rogness—now an Active Guard Reserve chaplain's assistant working at the Office of the Chief of Chaplains in the Pentagon—got a special honor when he returned home this week. The Twins invited him to raise the flag Wednesday at Target Field before their game against the Baltimore Orioles.

The Minnesota Twins have recently been honoring veterans by having them participate in the presentation of the colors and raising the flag during the national anthem.
