(VIDEO) Hundreds of Girls Take Over Downtown Saturday

Girls on the Town entices visitors to Hopkins.

If you ventured downtown Saturday, you probably noticed flamboyant hats, a sea of pink and many, many women with black tote bags slug over their shoulder.

Mothers, daughters, sisters and all varieties of girlfriends headed to central Hopkins for Girls on the Town—a day of a day of “shopping, arts, eating and pampering.”

The ladies got free manicures and mini cocktails, shopped for stylish accessories and won prizes from local businesses.

The annual event attracts visitors to Hopkins and shows off the city. But for many of those who attend, it's simply a good excuse to hit the town and have some fun.
