Hopkins Group Training Dogs for Suffering Veterans

Helping Paws, a Hopkins-based nonprofit, has launched a new program to train service and therapy dogs for local combat veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, according to KARE 11.

Helping Paws has a long history of training dogs for the disabled.

Therapy and service dogs have long helped soldiers living with physical war wounds. In recent years the animals have become a popular tool for dealing with combat's psychological scars.
