Grab & Go Kids Planner: March 9

A weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with the kids. Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

When: Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-7 p.m.

Why Go: Students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade can receive free homework assistance. Kids simply need to show up.

Where: Lutheran Community of Grace, 4 Shady Oak Rd, Hopkins

When: Thursdays from 4-7 p.m.

Why Go: Teens can hang out, play games and receive homework help in a safe and positive environment.

Price: Free

 

Where:  in Minnetonka

When: Saturday, Mar. 12 at 11 a.m.

Why Go: The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival will present traditional children’s fairy tale films with a twist that are appropriate for preschool aged children and older. Before the films you even get to make your own fairytale book.

Price: Free

 

Where:  in Minnetonka

When: Friday, Mar. 11 at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Eat your Skippy peanut butter laden toast before skipping over for story time with the one and only Skippyjon Jones.

Price: Free

 

Where:  in Edina 

When: Saturday, Mar. 12 from 2-3 p.m.        

Why Go: Teens in eighth grade and up can learn the basics of job searching, filling out applications and interviewing.

Price: Free but you must register ahead of time by calling (952) 847-5914.
