Grab & Go Kids Planner: March 2

A weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with the kids. Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.


Where/When: on Friday, Mar. 4 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Mar. 5 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Sunday, Mar. 6 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: This performance is based on Shannon Hale’s Newbery Honor winning book Princess Academy. Despite the title, it is a great adventure for both boys and girls aged 8 and up.
Price: Adults $15, Seniors (60+) & Youth (4-17) $12, Youth (3-4 yrs) $5 lap pass, Youth (0-2 yrs) Free lap pass; For tickets call the Box office at (952) 979-1111, option four.

 


Where/When:Lutheran Community of Grace storefront (4 Shady Oak Rd, Hopkins) on Wednesday, Mar. 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Why Go: Eat dinner, share fellowship, small group discussion and a short bible verse reading. Being a Lutheran or even a Christian is not required to attend.
Price: $1

Where/When:5500 Opportunity Ct, Minnetonka (Koch Technical & Training Campus) on Thursday, Mar. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy a hot meal with the family and help support Opportunity Partners, a nonprofit organization that provides services for individuals with disabilities.
Price: $7 Adults, $4 for children under 12, $30 for Families of 5 or more

Where/When: on Wednesday, Mar. 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Anyone in grade 7 and up that loves Anime will greatly appreciate the opportunity to watch Japanese animation on the big screen.
Price: Free

 


Where/When: on Friday, Mar. 4 from 7-9 p.m.
Why Go: Old school rock-n-roll music that can be enjoyed by all ages will set the tone for an evening of family-friendly games, snacks and prizes. Be sure to wear the socks without the holes.
Price: $5 per family

 

GUTHRIE THEATER: AND
Where/When: on Friday, Mar. 4 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively
Why Go: Teens in grades 6-9 can learn the secrets of stage fighting, while kids in grades 3-5 can learn the art of becoming an entertaining storyteller.
