When: Sunday, March 27 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Why Go: If Spring continues to drag its tail, there is only one way to further accent the day—live blues music.

Where: All of Hopkins’ games will be at the Target Center.

When: The first game is against Owatonna at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23. If they win, they advance to the semi-finals 6 p.m. March 24 and then state championship 8 p.m. March 26.

Why Go: Follow the No. 1-ranked boys basketball team Hopkins High School through the 2011 State Tournament.

When: 7 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 24

Why Go: Pushing the Elephant, a film about genocide will be followed by a panel discussion with local experts.

Price: Free

 

Where: 50th and France Shopping Area

When: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 24

Why Go: All the shops in this area will have great discounts, giveaways, treats and more so grab a few lady friends and head over.

Price: All depends on your shopping techniques. Free parking is available.

When: 7 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 27

Why Go: Wrap the weekend up with a live concert at the indoor park.
