(GALLERY) It's A Bird, It's A Plane—No, It's The Sun!

Residents enjoyed bluebird skies at Shady Oak Park on Sunday.

A chance to take a sunny stroll, grill some hotdogs or wet a fishing line has been a mere dream during our wet and grey spring. 

That all changed on Sunday, as the sun fell warmly on the visitors to .  

Although the groundhog indeed got it wrong this year, all could be forgiven by Sunday afternoon. We can now see the sunlight at the end of the tunnel. It may be time to stock up on picnic supplies, mosquito spray and suntan lotion. Perhaps we can finally stop saying that spring is just around the corner.
