ArtStreet Brings Dance to Downtown Park

Bandshell will host dance even on Saturday, Aug. 31, starting at 9:30 a.m.

ArtStreet, the self-funded public art program of the City of Hopkins, is partnering with Hopkins dance studio, E.R.V. Dance Studio, to present a dance event on Saturday, August 31 from 9:30-11:30am in Downtown Park right next to the Hopkins Farmers’ Market. Free of charge and open to people of all ages, this event will combine some exhibition dancing with the opportunity to learn a few steps.

This event is part of a pilot program, funded in part by the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (through the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008), to enliven the streets of Hopkins with live performances that complement the visual arts exhibited on Mainstreet and at City Hall each year.
