2011 Raspberry Festival: Events

Bring out the entire family for family friendly events, games and parades during the 2011 Raspberry Festival.

The Raspberry Festival has many events that simply defy categorization—from game days to the famous Grande Day Parade. Many of the events are free with a Raspberry Button, so be sure to purchase one to guarantee a fun-filled week!

Senior Game Day

Monday, July 11

Hunt for the Golden Raspberry Clues Debut

A palm-sized medallion has been hidden somewhere in Hopkins with the finder receiving $500 in cash and prizes.  The clues to finding this medallion will be posted at 8 a.m. daily at Driskills and on the festival's website—or you can check Hopkins Patch.


Kiddie Parade

For children only (parents should accompany), individuals or groups of kids can great a theme or costume or both, with prizes awarded to different age levels. Waiver forms must be signed before parade start.  Participants may ride or walk or be pulled.

  • When: 5:45 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (Check in at 5:00 p.m.)
  • Where: Starts at Central Park, north on 13th Ave, East on Mainstreet to 9th Ave and back to Downtown Park

Puttin’ on the Ritz ~ Senior Royalty Coronation, Dinner and Dance

Enjoy the big band sounds of Dick Macko while dining and dancing the night away.  $15 with a Raspberry Button, includes a light dinner.

Memorial Blood Centers Blood Drive

All those who donate will receive a free pint of raspberries and be entered into a drawing to win vacations and t-shirts.

Grande Day Parade

As one of Minnesota’s largest parades, the Hopkins Raspberry Festival Grande Day Parade features over 100 participants including floats, politicians, marching bands, schools and organizations from around the Twin Cities.
