Registration Open for Big Willow Baseball

Registration is now open for Minnetonka Big Willow Baseball, a youth league for boys and girls ages 4-12. Big Willow provides kids with quality instruction that emphasizes friendship, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Register by logging onto www.bigwillowbaseball.com.

For 2014, Big Willow is introducing two exciting changes: 4-year-olds will join the Mites, a recreational t-ball program for 4-6 year olds, which focuses on learning the basics of the game while having fun. Plus, for the first time, a Travel Only team will be offered for kids ages 11-12. Tryouts will take place on March 1st, 2014. Please visit our website for additional details.

Other Big Willow divisions include Juniors (7-8 year olds), Farm (9-10 year olds), and Majors (11-12 year olds). Players of all skill levels are welcome and will have the chance to develop baseball skills in a fun and nurturing environment. Traveling tournament teams are also offered for 9-12 year-olds who are interested in more competitive ball in addition to playing within the house league.

The season begins in April and ends around July 4th. Games are played at the beautiful Big Willow Park, just west of the intersection of Minnetonka Boulevard and Hopkins Crossroad,   where you’ll find new dugouts, a full concession stand, and a brand new playground for younger siblings. Although based in Minnetonka, Big Willow is open to all who are interested. Players come from Hopkins, Golden Valley, Plymouth, Edina and more.

For more information or to register, log on to www.bigwillowbaseball.com. Registration deadline is March 1, 2014.
