Main Street School of Performing Arts (MSSPA) will hold a Blood Drive on Friday, February 22 from 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the school located at 1320 Mainstreet in downtown Hopkins. The event, being conducted in partnership with Memorial Blood Centers, will give participants a chance to make a live-saving donation, while helping raise funds for post-secondary scholarships for Seniors from MSSPA’s Dance Company and National Honor Society for Dance Arts—the two school groups organizing the blood drive.
“This is our second of two blood drives,“ said Lara Ciganko, MSSPA dance instructor. “We hope to have more than 100 donors overall by the time we wrap this up. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring awareness to the need, and make donating blood easily accessible. It is also a chance to raise anywhere from $400 - $1,200 for our students’ post-secondary pursuits. This has been a wonderful partnership with Memorial Blood Centers and we thank them for bringing this blood drive to our school and our community.”
The public is encouraged to participate. Appointments can be made online at www.mbc.org/searchdrives and by entering sponsor code 3732 or contact Lara Ciganko at 952-224-2363.
Please remember to bring a valid I.D. when you donate.
