Where is the Worst Driving in Hopkins?
Share the locations of problem spots on Patch’s interactive map.
Every community has its places with a reputation for bad driving — residential neighborhoods that drivers barrel through, intersections where drivers rev their engines for quick starts and winding roads that tempt drivers to race through the curves.
Hopkins is no different.
Patch wants to know where you think the worst places in Hopkins are. Use the map above to share the places that give you white knuckles. Simply click the "Add" button, enter an address and type in the variety of bad driving that location is known for: Do cars ignore pedestrian crossings? Do they zoom through streets where children play? Do they overlook cyclists?
When you’re done, use the comments section below to share your thoughts and offer recommendations on what can be done to make problem spots better.

CARGILL EMPLOYEES ARE EXTREMELY IMPOLITE AND MORE THAN WILLING TO IGNORE THEIR STOP SIGN. THEY ACT AS THOUGH IT IT CARGILLS' PROPERTY AND THEY HAVE PRIORITY ONE AT THE INTERSECTION.

Driving without headlights is a pet peeve of mine — especially when there is bad weather. If you have to use your wipers, you should have your lights on.

Bikers that think they don't have to stop for stop signs, & motorists that think they always have to yield to bikers. One of the worst is at Minnetonka Mills Road & 169 where that flashing yellow light is. Motorists think they have to yield to bikers & cause alot close calls. Most of the cops will tell you not to yield when you have the right of way. While were at it, does anyone dim their headlights anymore when coming up to another car?

I agree w/ Joe
Bikers crossing at Blake Rd and Luci usually do no stop. OR motorist yield causing a dangerous condition. Once the right-hand lane motorist stops, the view to the right is blocked; bikers are not seen until the last moment.
Bikes riders must abide as it they are a vehicle.
The stop sign pertains to the bike trail NOT Blake Rd; the biker must stop and proceed only upon a clear and safe path.
Vehicle are not required to stop and merely present an obstacle to other drivers.

Shady Oak Road and Highway 7. Cars coming from Shady Oak onto West highway 7 don't always get through before the light changes and many times try to get through after light changed.

2nd street NE at the 169 underpass. The bicyclist are rude and don't acknowledge you when you stop for them. I wish I didn't stop for most if them. The Cargill exits are congested when they start and leave for work. I agree with Dave, they blow through the stop signs at the front and the rear of the building. BLAKE Rd. is a very busy street to use. You have to watch out for cars, bicyclists, and people running across the street in the middle of the night to get their frosty's at Wendy's.

Not really white-knuckle but the corner where Interlachen turns to Blake is AWFUL as far as condition goes. I feel like my car is going to fall apart every time I go over the various holes that have popped up there.
