Minnesota Mineral Club to Host ‘Celebration of Agates’

- Where: Hopkins High School
Rock lovers of all kinds are invited to attend “A Celebration of Agates” July 26 to 29 at Hopkins High School. Meet top agate collectors, dealers and authors from around the world, listen to lectures and see agate collections and displays. Don't know if agates are for you? Phil Gotsch, education director for the Minnesota Mineral Club, explains why he thinks all kids are born rockhounds.
Monster Energy Motorcycle MX Stunt Team at Raceway Park
- When: July 27, 7 p.m.
- Where: Raceway Park, 1 Checkered Flag Blvd, Shakopee
As part of their national tour, the Monster Energy Motorcycle MX Stunt Team will bring their antics to Raceway Park. Amazing professional motorcycle ramp-to-ramp jumps, flips, and more two-wheel stunts will keep everyone on the edge of their seats.
- When: July 28, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Where: The tour starts in Tangletown, then winds its way to St Louis Park via the southern shore of Lake Calhoun.
This self-guided annual tour features some of the Twin Cities’ best gardens, local art, and galleries. Best of all, proceeds from the tour help fund public art, charities, scholarships, and garden projects throughout the Twin Cities’ area.

- Where: Veterans Amphitheater, 3700 Monterey Dr, St Louis Park
This Bob Dylan tribute show is returning to Wolfe Park for the fourth year. Named after Dylan's "Blood on the Tracks" album, the show will feature Kevin Odegard, a Minneapolis based-musician who played guitar on that album, as well as St. Louis Park's own Dan Israel.
The concert will also double as a Guitars for Vets benefit.
Neighborhood Band Concert and Ice Cream Social
- When: July 29, 7:15 a.m.
- Where: House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 7625 Chicago Ave. S., Richfield
Bring your lawn chair or a blanket, a neighbor or a friend and join House of Prayer Lutheran Church for its Band Concert and Ice Cream Social. The event will be held in the backyard of the church and begins at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, July 29. Music by Northern Winds Concert Band.
