McDonald Hospitalized for Heart Problem
He’s listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.
Former Hopkins standout wide receiver and University of Minnesota freshman Andre McDonald has been hospitalized with a heart problem, the Minnesota Daily reported Thursday.
McDonald told the University of Minnesota student newspaper that he had a “little problem with my heart.” He was due for testing Thursday and is listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.
McDonald was the top-ranked prospect in Minnesota during his senior year. He was one of two wide receivers in the state named to the AP All-State First Team and played in the prestigious Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl—an event for many of the top high school gridiron standouts.
