Main Street School to Host ‘Support the Street’ May 16-18

Students and faculty from the Main Street School of Performing Arts (MSSPA) are taking it to the street (or at least the front lawn) in mid-May with their annual Yard Sale and musical celebration. Each event is free and open to the public.

The MSSPA Yard Sale, a fundraising event for Main Street School, will be held May 16 – 18 from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm each day (weather permitting). The event will feature a wide selection of household items and clothing, all donated by MSSPA friends and families.

The Support the Street concert will be held on May 18, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. This annual front-lawn concert will feature the extensive talents and musical styles of MSSPA students. Music, food, raffle tickets, and plenty of fun will be on hand.

“What a terrific way to wrap up the year,” said MSSPA’s executive director Barbara Wornson. “We love the energy of these events. They give us a chance to engage more directly with the community in a fun, and relaxed way. We hope everyone turns out to see all these students have to offer— from unique goods in the yard sale, to their stellar musical abilities—our students are an extraordinary group of teens.”

Both events will take place at Main Street School of Performing Arts located at: 1320 Mainstreet in downtown Hopkins.
